Job description
As part of the Virtual Materials (VirtMat) project, you will work on the development of solutions for scientific problems in synthetic chemistry using machine learning and AI. Your tasks in detail:
- Analysis of requirements in cooperation with interdisciplinary teams to improve software processes and create the technical specification
- Design of software and development of AI- and ML-based models
- Implementation of tests and quality assurance measures
- Integration of the machine learning models into existing work environments
- Documentation and presentation of project results
There is the possibility of a part-time doctorate.

Personal qualification
- Completed studies (Master/Diploma (Uni)) in computer science, engineering or natural sciences with a focus on software development, image processing and machine learning
- Very good knowledge of software development, in particular deep knowledge of Python
- Strong team player, flexibility and good communication skills
- Problem-solving mindset and high willingness to learn
